Awkward moments

Our life in general is awash with these, some of which are forced for comedy purposes (so somebody must like them), but are the ones that aren't supposed to happen that funny?

It might help us if we expand on my definition of awkward.

My main two subjects for discussion would be:

  1. Dead air on radio stations because of a bad caller, or just a bad caller.
  2. Poor interviews on television.
  3. poor job interviews.
Essentially, any slightly formal meeting between two or more people that might have unpleasant connotations should everything go wrong.

Personally, I can't stand listening to forced silence in any conversation, so to know that the rest of the Country is tuning into the same radio equivalent of /dev/null actually makes me want to climb into the circular insulation around my car's steering wheel and hide for the next 100 years.
