Woof. Pardon?

If you own a dog, you may know what I'm going to say.

You're sat in the lounge watching telly, and the dog's nosing your crotch because he or she wants a treat of some sort, or a pee, or other miscellaneous object or activity.

You're watching a dog on telly, and it barks. Your dog stops dead. Its head faces the TV, and it starts to tilt from side to side.

Don't you ever wonder what that dog just said?

Did it just turn to the camera and say "You're a registered sex offender." or something?

What caused your dog to stop what it was doing and check this other dog out? Note that some dogs aren't affected by this.

Cats usually aren't affected by the sound of a dog barking on TV. Is it because they're more intelligent, or is it because they don't care if they're labelled a registered sex offender? Maybe the punishment for this crime in the pet world is less than ours.
