The Air Desk

Our story today involves a person who shall remain anonymous. She works in a job that involves shuffling paper in various quantities, which in turn involves using a desk for a shuffling platform.

In reference to one of my old posts, "sometimes you're just not switched on", this is especially true for our shuffler.

She approached a colleague's desk with a hand-full of paper, and commenced shuffling.

A shuffling malfunction occured immediately when after letting go of said paper, she didn't hear the mandatory sound of it hitting the desk.

In fact, she'd missed the desk entirely, and dumped a load of paper on the floor.

Hence the phrase, "air desk".
