The sleeves of Ming

I'm referring to Ming the Merciless rather than to sleeves that ming.

I walked downstairs in my dressing gown on Saturday morning in a relatively good mood, it being the start of my weekend.

The water filter was empty and needed re-filling, as did the kettle.

I turned the tap on, and immediately realised my mistake. The sleeve of my dressing gown had caught most of the tap water because they're so big.

Then the thought struck me: How the hell does Ming the Merciless perform tap-related activities with sleeves as big as those? You can't roll them up because they're too big to cling to your arms, and just fall down. Surely he'd walk around with damp sleeves all day, which can't be good for the future Emperor of the universe.
