Video game difficulty

I say this to my friends in relation to Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for the XBOX 360.

A football game's difficulty should not be increased by making your football team worse.

Picture the game - Barcalona versus Getafe.

Getafe are rubbish. Barcalona are not.

It should not be more difficult to beat Getafe by making Ronaldinho and Lionel Messi the two worst players on the pitch who cannot complete a pass.

You don't make racing games more difficult by making your car go slower, so why should this be any different?

A football team should break you down in a professional fashion just as in real life.
