That Friday Feeling. Sort of.
Everybody who works a regular 9-5 Monday-Friday week gets something approximately close to this feeling.
You're pleased you've made it through the week, and it's Saturday tomorrow. Thank god.
But not for me. You see, I'm a bit obsessive about my weekends.
I'm trapped in the working week until 5pm Friday. After which point, I'm happy as Larry. I'm pleased it's Friday, and that I've got that whole weekend ahead of me. However, somewhere in the back of my subconscious, I can feel it slipping away from me, hour by hour, minute by minute. Second by second.
By Saturday morning, I'm concerned I only have two days of my weekend left. By Saturday night, I know I've already lost most of my weekend. By Sunday, I'm slightly irritable at the fact that I have less than 24 hours before returning to work.
Everybody enjoys spare time, but I just seem to spend my lift counting it down.
Help!
